Yesterday was the Red Sox victory parade.  As opposed to 2004, where I had to fly from Philadelphia to witness the madness (totally worth it, by the way), this year it went right by work!  So I took my lunch break at a little after 1, and went down to join the celebration.  This year wasn't nearly as crazy as '04, but it was fun in its own way.  It ( Read more... )

What's that, you say?  Red Sox rally going right by work?  Why yes, I would like to use my lunch break tomorrow to watch it.  Thanks!

#2 Boston College comes from 10-0 down with two minutes left to beat #8 Virginia Tech, 14-10.
About an hour later, Jonathan Papelbon retires the Colorado Rockies 1-2-3 to close out a 2-1 Red Sox victory in Game 2 of the World Series.

Best single day ever in Boston sports?  Discuss.

Yesterday morning, one of my friends from law school offered to sell me a spare ticket she had to last night's Red Sox game.  I hemmed and hawed for budgetary reasons, but eventually said yes.  I re-learned an important lesson last night:  never say no to something awesome just because of money.
